The John Venturi graded scratch races 25 June 2011
We had a lovely winters day at The Range, with clear skies, sun shining although the wind was chilly and making it hard work for the riders, but we had a safe day of racing. Due to the cross wind most grades split into small groups or single riders by the end of there race. The exception was senior C grade that stayed together to have a sprint finish.

The day started with junior A grade div 1 & 2 starting together to give these riders the chance to ride in a bigger group and they stayed together until the final climb on the first lap when 4 div1 riders climbed away. These riders managed to keep there advantage all the way to the end. Similarly the senior A grade had four riders ride off the front later, joined by 3 chasers, these held their advantage, until just over a lap to go when George Tansley, the final winner powered away riding a lone race to the end.
