SCC Monday Night Training at Etown

SCC Training at Etown Velodrome
A few tweaks to the schedule for training on Monday nights until the end of March.
Monday Night Training:
Location: Edwardstown Velodrome
Cost: $5 for session
$5 for loan bike (Free for SCC members)
Sign on from 4:45pm
Training from 5pm till 7:45pm
You are welcome to come at any time however we will have focused training towards the following groups…
5pm till 6:15 – Come & Try (No AusCycling Licence) and U13’s
6:30 till 7:45 – U15’s and U17’s
Dates to remember:
Monday 8th of March: No training on due to Interclub racing at Edwardstown
(Make sure you enter)
Monday 15th of March: all junior training from 5 till 6:30

BBQ Volunteers – E’Town needs you

Calling BBQ Volunteers for the remainder of SCC Track Season 2020/21
With another 7 weeks of Friday nights left at Edwardstown, we’re looking to put together a roster for running the BBQ.
The BBQ is part of what makes Friday nights at Edwardstown what it is, so it’d be great to see everyone do their bit and share the love.
Anyone willing to help out: could you please reply to our facebook post “Calling BBQ Volunteers…” or email us with a date that you’re available and we’ll see what we can put together?
Dates are basically every Friday from now thru March 26 (plus the Interclub on March 8th)
Even if you are a regular rider – why not have a night off, grab some tongs & heckle the riders. Free snags for you also !!!
p.s. We already have volunteers for Feb 12th & Feb 19th.

Australia Day Track Carnival

Australia Day is very close which means one of our favourite track events is starting to rev up.

Good luck to Juniors & Etown December 11th is go

Good luck to all juniors racing State Championships at the Superdrome this weekend. Especially our SCC juniors – go fast & have fun kids.
For the rest of us Track Racing at Etown tonight awaits!!!
Sign on from 5.30pm & racing starts at 6.15pm
Any age & any ability is catered for – what a great way to sign off from the Monday-Friday working week and it’s fun.
Even better – we have the world famous BBQ cooking up a storm.
Speaking of the BBQ – we are always looking for helpers as with any club like ours – volunteers make the club what it is. If anyone would like to grab a pair of tongs & flip burgers & snags tonight please let us know.

 Last Days to Nominate so get in quick

Mt Gambier has become a favourite weekend away for us – Saturday January 2nd & 3rd at the Mt Gambier Velodrome in the sports park. Matthew Opperman & co have been doing lots of work on the velodrome – so it’s looking great.
Lets support our country friends & get down to the Mount and race. The local council has come on board with some generous sponsorship. If you are planning to come along we plan to travel on Saturday morning for an afternoon of racing, a social dinner at the local, Sunday Morning racing & head back to Adelaide on Sunday avo.
Why not stay for a few days if you can ?
